中国煤碳工业协会称，中国今年煤炭产量将超过27亿吨，较去年的25亿吨增长8%。
中国煤炭工业协会专家咨询委员会主任汤家轩预计，中国正在增建煤炭产能，中国煤炭产量将在2009年达到30亿吨。煤炭价格将在第四季度温和走低，因全球能源价格走势看跌，中国港口和发电厂的煤炭库存日益增加。煤炭价格将在2009年中期左右反弹，届时煤炭需求将因夏季用电高峰而增长。
